We are working with a public sector organisation looking for an experienced Senior Officer to work in their Policy & Subsidy team. This role will initially focus on handling appeals and revisions, ensuring decisions are reviewed accurately and fairly in line with legislative requirements.
As a Senior Officer, your primary responsibility will be managing appeals and revisions related to housing subsidy policies. You will ensure compliance with statutory guidelines, review decisions in line with relevant legislation, and provide expert advice on complex cases. Alongside this, you will contribute to wider policy development, working collaboratively to improve processes and ensure best practices.
You must have experience with NEC to be considered for the role.
This role will be predominantly remote, with a requirement to attend the office once a month.
Key Responsibilities
路Lead on the appeals and revisions process, ensuring decisions comply with relevant legislation and case law.
路Conduct thorough case reviews and provide recommendations on subsidy-related disputes.
路Provide expert guidance on subsidy regulations and appeals handling.
路Work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure fair and transparent decision-making.
路Monitor trends in appeals and use insights to inform policy development and process improvements.
路Support the wider team in subsidy policy implementation and compliance when required.
About You
路Must have experience with NEC
路Strong experience in handling housing subsidy appeals and revisions.
路In-depth knowledge of relevant housing legislation and regulatory requirements.
路Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
路Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
路Experience in developing and implementing housing subsidy policies in a public sector setting is highly desirable
