Job Overview: We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a prominent organisation in the facilities management sector, for an experienced Technical Supervisor. This role involves overseeing both electrical and mechanical maintenance activities within a large commercial building. You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of all technical systems, offering expert support to the maintenance team, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise electrical and mechanical maintenance teams, ensuring effective delivery of services.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical and mechanical systems, identifying and resolving any issues.
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems, HVAC, and other critical building infrastructure.
- Manage service delivery to ensure all work meets the required quality, safety, and compliance standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers and technicians, ensuring best practices are followed.
- Liaise with other departments to coordinate work schedules and ensure minimal disruption to the building’s operations.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for all maintenance activities.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance within a commercial or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of building services, including electrical systems, HVAC, and plumbing.
- Experience supervising a team or managing maintenance activities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, HND, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and compliance standards.
