IT Procurement Specialist – 5-month contract

My customer is looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to help with ties things off from a Procurement perspective as the business completes the divestment.

As an IT Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the customers procurement processes. You’ll work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless contract management, negotiations, and operational efficiency. Experience working in a company divestment environment would be highly beneficial.

This role would be remote with ad hoc travel to Birmingham when required.

Key responsibilities of the IT Procurement Specialist:

  • Manage IT procurement activities, including contract terminations, novation’s, and negotiations.
  • Develop and maintain effective license modelling strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure alignment of procurement goals.
  • Plan and organize workloads to handle peaks and troughs effectively.
  • Maintain a high level of technical awareness to address IT-specific procurement requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies and regulations.

Skills required:

  • Proven experience in an IT Procurement department with technical awareness.
  • Expertise in contract management, including terminations, novations, and negotiations.
  • Strong background in license modelling and IT procurement strategies.
  • Highly organized, self-starter, with excellent workload management skills.
  • Comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
  • Experience in projects involving company wind-downs.
