Key Responsibilities of this Lead Buying Manager position -
- Curate assortments of relevant SKUs aligned with customer needs and hard discount principles.
- Negotiate with both private-label and branded suppliers.
- Analyse categories and the competitive landscape.
- Provide training and guidance to junior buyers.
- Implement measures to maintain product quality across the different ranges
- Reporting to the chief product officer and working closely with other departments to optimise service levels for customers.
Requirements for this Lead Buying Manager position -
- Ideally having 4 plus years + buying experience in discount retail.
- You must be operating at a Manager, lead or senior level
- If you have experience of leading a team within Buying, Procurement or Product that would be advantageous.
- You must have private level experience (open to Food /FMCG category)
- Results-driven, highly motivated, and well-organised, thriving in a fast-growing company.
- Bachelor's degree ore equivalent is desirable
- Full proficiency in English.
- Flexible and adaptable to a new culture & location
- Open to relocation to South-East Asia- If you have interest or links to the in the Indonesia or Philippines this will be beneficial
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly adapt to internal systems (NS-Oracle).
