  • Ensure adherence to the Procurement Act 2023 by managing submissions, reporting, and compliance on government portals.
  • Collaborate with budget holders to develop annual procurement plans and identify efficient market routes.
  • Oversee supplier performance, ensuring contract compliance and managing the contract register.
  • Mitigate supply chain risks, conduct conflict of interest checks, and prepare for audits.
  • Support social value initiatives in procurement strategies, including sustainability and diversity goals.
  • Collaborate with departments to ensure a streamline purchase-to-pay processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement practices, focusing on efficiency and strategic value.
The Successful Candidate
  • Experience in public sector procurement and contract management
  • Strong understanding of public procurement law and the purchase-to-pay process.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with a CIPS Level 5 qualification or willingness to attain it.
  • Proficient in Excel and capable of managing complex datasets with a high degree of accuracy.
