Cedar are supporting a key client based in London, who operate in the Rail sector, who are looking to hire a Procurement Manager. This role is a 12-Month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) offering a salary up to £55,000 per annum. This role will be hybrid with the expectation to be on-site 2 days per week in Central London.

Reporting into the Head of Procurement the Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing a number of end to end Procurements, in line with Public Sector Procurement Regulations, to deliver compliant solutions and value for money. Requirements will cover areas such as ICT, FM, HR, Professional Services and various other Indirect requirements - this role is more focused for a generalist overall. You will also be required to build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders for the procurements you are tasked with delivering.

Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • Experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector marketplace i.e. experience working in Procurement and/or Category Management is required
  • Experience running end to end Procurements - experience across a range of categories would be advantageous
  • Track record of delivering value for money and compliant solutions in the Public Sector
  • Understanding of the new Procurement Act - completion of the training modules would be advantageous
  • Experience in the Rail sector would be advantageous but is not required
