Role Description:

A longstanding client of ours, a premium commercial cleaning and facilities management solution provider, is looking to appoint a Key Account Director to manage and develop relationships with high-profile clients, ensuring outstanding service delivery, retention and business growth. The successful Key Account Director will be an exceptional leader with strong commercial acumen, excellent client management skills and in-depth knowledge of facilities management and commercial cleaning services. Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of a portfolio of high-value key accounts, ensuring strong, long-lasting client relationships

  • Develop and implement client-specific strategies to enhance service delivery, satisfaction and contract retention

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing expert advice and tailored solutions

  • Conduct regular client meetings, service reviews and performance evaluations to ensure service excellence

  • Monitor and manage KPIs and SLAs, ensuring all contractual obligations are met or exceeded

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, sustainability policies and industry best practices

  • Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to support new business opportunities and tenders

  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity and industry innovations to maintain competitive edge

  • Drive a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement within the account management function

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Key Account Director, Senior Account Manager or Client Relationship Director in the commercial cleaning or facilities management sector

  • A strong track record in client retention, contract management and service excellence

  • Excellent commercial acumen with the ability to drive revenue growth and account profitability

  • Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation and presentation skills

  • A solutions-oriented mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and service delivery

  • Knowledge of health & safety regulations, sustainability practices and cleaning industry standards

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
