Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Drylining)

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 (DOE) + package

Are you an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with experience in the drylining industry or do you have a background with main contractors and a proven track record of overseeing drylining packages? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

About the Role:

Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will be responsible for managing drylining packages with project values ranging from £100k to £3.5m. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career and work on a variety of projects across London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the preparation of tender documents, contracts, and cost estimates.
* Oversee and manage drylining packages, ensuring all works are completed on time and within budget.
* Conduct cost analysis and financial reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
* Collaborate with the project management team and subcontractors to ensure project success.
* Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor tenders and variations.
* Provide support to senior quantity surveyors and commercial managers.

Key Requirements:

* Previous experience in drylining, either with a specialist subcontractor or overseeing drylining packages with a main contractor.
* Knowledge of construction contracts, costs, and procurement processes.
* Strong financial and numerical skills.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field (preferred but not essential).
