About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor
As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining a family-run Developer whose projects are predominately residential and student accommodations in London and Ireland. Currently, they are focused on delivering complex, mixed-use developments including student accommodations, private & affordable homes for public sector bodies and social housing providers. You would be working in their Central London office on a project in Ireland where you would visit Ireland every fortnight for a couple of days. Accommodation, flights, food, and expenses all covered!
The project you will be working on consists of 259 new residential dwelling units including 133 houses, 105 apartments, and 21 duplex units ranging from single storey to 4 storeys. The Commercial Manager will be supporting you as you continue to develop and grow with the company who are known for having long-serving staff.
Key Responsibilities of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
- Assisting the Commercial Manager with project budgets and cost estimations
- Support the preparation of tender documents and contractors bids
- Compile regular reports on the financial status of the project including cost analysis and forecasts
Key Requirements of Assistant Quantity Surveyor
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at a Developer
- Willing to travel to Ireland every fortnight for a couple of days
- Degree educated in a construction related degree
