Cost Manager Permanent Opportunity via BRC Jobs:               Cost Manager   Location:       Home-based, fully remote  Sector:            Housing & Property   Duration:       Permanent   Salary:            £58,422 Start Date:      ASAP    BRC are working with a large national housing association who are looking for an experienced Cost Manager to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.  Main Responsibilities: 
  1. In this role it will be vital to have an understanding and experience of the National Housing Schedule of Rates
  2. This role covers planned works, responsive repairs and voids to the housing stock of up to £30m
  3. Utilising the schedule, you will identify improved, innovative and more economical ways of delivering services whilst preventing waste
  4. Lead on the management of cost control, reviewing multiple national contracts and projects
  5. Monitor contract / project costs and make recommendations on removing / preventing waste and better, more economical ways of delivering contract services and projects, including real digital innovation.
  6. Lead on cost benchmarking/development, proactively challenging through value engineering and effective project reviews for national contracts and projects
  7. Carry out quarterly and annual reviews of costs within multiple national contracts and projects
  8. Act as Homes lead on new contract negotiations with Procurement. Contributing to the development of long-term strategic relationships with key partners
  9. Assist in the design of Customer involvement strategies to ensure that residents have a voice in shaping and improving service outcomes
  Requirements for the role:
  1. Education to HND level or equivalent qualification in construction or property management
  2. Previous experience as a QS or Cost Manager
  3. Ability to utilise software to analyse information and use data effectively to inform decision making
