About the Role
We are looking for a talented Estimator to join our team and play a critical role in delivering high-quality fit out and design & build (D&B) projects valued up to £4 million around the London area. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment where you can contribute your expertise to a range of challenging and rewarding projects. We value candidates who bring an in-depth knowledge of fit out and D&B processes and can provide insight and precision in project cost management.
Position Overview
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for various fit out and D&B projects. You will work closely with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality solutions that align with project specifications and client expectations. This role requires a balance of technical knowledge, analytical skills, and effective communication to ensure alignment across project stakeholders and successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Detailed Estimates: Develop accurate, detailed, and transparent estimates based on project specifications, tender documents, and technical drawings.
- Budget Management and Cost Analysis: Collaborate with the project team to create cost-effective solutions and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company standards.
- Subcontractor and Supplier Engagement: Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing, evaluate costs, and negotiate favorable terms.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with the project and design teams to ensure seamless integration of estimates into the project execution plan.
- Risk Analysis and Management: Identify project risks related to costs and timelines, and proactively address potential challenges in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Note: The above responsibilities may vary on different projects.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience: Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally within fit out and D&B project environments. A deep understanding of estimating processes and principles specific to these fields is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong comprehension of construction methodologies, materials, and relevant building regulations, allowing for accurate project planning and cost projection.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail in reviewing project specifications, analysing costs, and preparing documentation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to break down complex information and provide clear insights.
Salary & Benefits
