Junior Quantity Surveyor

Location: London (Office & Site-Based)

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established structural steel company based in London. This role offers the chance to work on a range of exciting projects, supporting senior QSs and project teams in ensuring commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in cost estimation, procurement, and contract administration for structural steel projects.
  • Prepare and review valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure financial control and cost management.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain strong commercial relationships.
  • Conduct site visits to assess work progress and ensure alignment with financial reports.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to project costs.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of three year's experience in Quantity Surveying within the civils or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel projects is highly desirable.
  • Ability to travel to sites and the office as required.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
