Job Title: Managing Quantity SurveyorLocation: Warrington or North London (with occasional travel between both)Salary: £65,000 to £78,000 + packageMy client is a leading infrastructure contractor and they have an opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their in house design consultancy team. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will take the lead role on the commercial aspects of multiple projects, working closely with the supporting Business Unit Director. You'll be overseeing a portfolio of projects, ensuring efficient commercial delivery whilst also managing larger, more complex schemes.Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the review, negotiation, and management of contracts and subcontracts, adhering to key risk parameters.
  • Oversee procurement and downstream subcontract management across the business unit
  • Manage cash flow and ensure accurate project cost reporting, including Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and portfolio positioning in line with Profit Take and Revenue Recognition rules.
  • Provide commercial support across the project portfolio, including managing Early Warning Notices (EWNs), Compensation Events (CEs), and Applications for Payment (AFPs).

What are we looking for:

  • Proven experience managing a portfolio of projects, ideally with exposure to delivering larger schemes.
  • Background in design consultancy is beneficial.
  • Expertise in administering various forms of contracts, including NEC and bespoke client terms.
  • Proficiency in project CVR reporting and managing team contributions to confirm the overall portfolio's position on a monthly basis.
