An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor / Senior Cost Manager or Cost Manager to join a leading consultancy delivering high-profile data centre projects across the UK and Europe. This role is ideal for someone looking to work in a dynamic, fast-growing sector within a business that prioritises innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation in cost management.

The Role:

  • Managing all aspects of MEP quantity surveying and cost consultancy, from pre- to post-contract.
  • Assisting in the development of cost estimates and cost plans for MEP packages.
  • Supporting the tender process, including reviewing and analysing tender returns and advising on procurement strategies.
  • Attending client meetings, preparing financial reports, and monitoring the financial status of MEP packages.
  • Ensuring projects remain on budget from the design phase through to completion.
  • Conducting valuations, variation assessments, and final account negotiations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Supporting junior team members to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of cost management services.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A proven track record in cost management and quantity surveying across the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience in MEP elements within construction projects, preferably in mission-critical sectors.
  • Knowledge of the MEP supply chain, including Tier 1 and specialist contractors.
  • RICS-qualified (or working towards qualification) with a degree or HNC in a relevant field.
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
