Quantity Surveyor
Fawkes and Reece are currently working closely with an established Family-Owned Main Contractor that have a reputation in the Construction market delivering a variety of design and build, new build and refurbishment schemes. Our client is well established with over 40 years trading and pride themselves in being a finically sound business with a strong positive cash balance making them one of the top 2% most financially strong UK Construction companies.
About the role of Quantity Surveyor
As a business, our client operates in London and the Southeast working across Education, Commercial, Healthcare, leisure, Heritage, and residential schemes ranging from small works up to circa 2 Million. Typically, their projects are under JCT form of Contract.
For this role, our client is looking for a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor to work within one of their successful divisions on projects ranging from 1 Million to 2 Million in value. The successful candidate will multiple schemes with one of these being a 1 Million cut and curve listed building scheme with structural alterations and refurbishment works. Our client Is looking for a Quantity Surveyor that can lead this project with support from a Managing Quantity Surveyor. For this role you will be site and office based looking after 4/5 Projects at one time.
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor
- Working from PCSA/2 Stage tender process, to delivering the site and working through to completion and final accounts
- Procurement across all sub-contracting accounts
- Pricing, and managing change and variations.
- site meetings
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
- 8 Years experience within Construction Quantity Surveying position with a Main Contractor
- Good Communication skills
- Quantity Surveyor degree or working towards
- Ability to build strong relationships.
