My client is an impressive contractor who is looking for an experienced, personable and driven Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will have the opportunity to join a friendly, professional and ambitious team working on a huge variety of projects within the buildings and property sectors. With an incredible clientele on board - this is a fantastic growth opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work towards becoming an integral part of a business and moving to the next step in their career.

Your responsibilities will be (but not limited to)

  • Managing all project costs from pitch to completion.
  • Inspecting and valuing completed work
  • Authorising sub-contractor applications and payments.
  • Making Variation order
  • Conducting meetings with the client about any issues onsite.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and sub-contractors.
  • Preparation of interim valuations and final accounts as per contractual deadlines in connection with live projects, for the client's approval.
  • Assist in the production of cost value reports and forecast cash recovery and ensure that both are kept in line with the target.
  • Monitoring project progress.

What the ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying
  • Ability to show previous experience gained in working on infrastructure projects
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • A full UK driving license
