We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 contractor working on a portfolio of water projects in the Thames Valley region. This is an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to be part of a dynamic team delivering essential infrastructure projects.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the financial and contractual aspects of multiple water projects, ensuring effective cost control and project delivery. This role offers hybrid working with the flexibility to work between the office, home, and on-site as required. Offices are based in Liverpool Street, Maidenhead, and Reading, providing convenient options for candidates based in the Thames Valley or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor:

  • Managing project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports
  • Administering NEC contracts and ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Conducting site visits to monitor progress and address any cost-related issues
  • Preparing and finalizing accounts with clients and subcontractors
  • Providing financial advice and updates to key stakeholders

Requirements for Quantity Surveyor:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the infrastructure or water sectors
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and subcontractor management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in cost management tools and Excel
