Permanent Role - London - Up to 65,000 per Annum

We are currently working with a well-established contractor seeking an experienced and qualified Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong analytic skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.



Duties Include:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labour, plant, and overheads.
  • Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure budgets are met.
  • Administer change management and project variations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to assess the financial viability of projects.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors when pricing tenders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure accurate costings and smooth project delivery.
  • Prepare tender documents and assist in evaluating bids.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions related to projects.
  • Provide regular cost reports and financial updates to stakeholders.
  • Advise on procurement strategies and assist in contract negotiations.


Requirements:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.
  • Minimum of 5 year's experience in a quantity surveying or cost management role.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and financial management in construction projects.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • MRICS or MCIOB accreditation is preferred but not essential-support can be provided for candidates pursuing chartership.
