We are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join a high-performing team delivering critical commercial projects in London Docklands. Your Next Job – What You’ll Be Doing
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you will take full ownership of all quantity surveying duties on your projects, ensuring that all commercial and contractual commitments are met and value is maximised. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day commercial and contract activities.
- Overseeing contract administration, change management, and associated registers.
- Negotiating and securing best-value subcontractor orders.
- Supporting project budgets, cost plans, and feasibility studies.
- Approving subcontractor applications and ensuring compliance with the Construction Contracts Act.
- Leading subcontractor pre-appointment meetings to ensure clear scope definition.
- Preparing accurate monthly Cost Value Reports for senior commercial and project management teams.
- Maximising cash flow through timely and accurate valuation submissions.
- Negotiating and finalising accounts, including claims for loss, expense, and delay.
- Maintaining strong working relationships with design teams, client representatives, and subcontractors.
- Implementing and adhering to company commercial procedures.

Requirements & Rewards – What You Give & What You Get Back
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or an equivalent qualification recognised by RICS or SCSI.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
- Knowledge of construction contracts (JCT, RIAI, FIDIC, etc.).
- Strong commercial acumen and an ability to identify contractual risks and opportunities.
- Proficiency in cost reporting, negotiation, and financial forecasting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
