ROLE: Quantity Surveyor

LOCATION: Central London - Hybrid

SALARY: £55,000 - £70,000

A leading contracting business are looking for a Quantity Surveyor within their construction and residential division, known for delivering high-quality projects with precision and excellence. With a strong reputation for innovation and customer satisfaction.  The company offer Hybrid working, which consists of their offices in Central London, Sites across London and Home working.

THE JOB

As a Quantity Surveyor within their Construction and Residential division, you will play a vital role in managing costs and ensuring the financial efficiency of projects from inception to completion. You will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to deliver value-driven solutions while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities.
  • Conduct cost analysis and risk management.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to negotiate and secure contracts.
  • Monitor project progress and prepare regular financial reports.
  • Manage project variations and ensure accurate cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and contractual obligations.
  • Provide support and guidance on procurement strategies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction and/or residential sectors ideally with flooring experience
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience on large scale residential schemes and a good understanding of how schemes of this scale work.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g. RICS or CIOB) is highly desirable.
