Our client based in beautiful offices in Chiswick are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects based on drawings, specifications, and other relevant documents.
  • Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost control measures throughout the project.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost assessments and timely delivery of projects.
  • Prepare tender documents and assist in the evaluation of bids from contractors.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and identify any potential issues affecting costs.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects.
  • Provide regular reports on project financial performance to management and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying is essential.
  • 2/3 years proven experience in the UK as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry is essential.
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts is essential.
  • Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications for cost estimation and project management.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
