Our client, a prominent consultancy in the building surveying sector, is currently seeking a Senior / Associate Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team in London. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors including office fit-outs, industrial, life sciences, transport, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting detailed building surveys and preparing comprehensive reports
- Offering expert advice on property refurbishment and office fit-outs
- Managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
- Conducting defect diagnosis and proposing remedial solutions
- Carrying out feasibility studies and advising on the procurement process
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards
- Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors as needed
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building surveying, with a focus on commercial property
- Chartered status through RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
- Strong understanding of building construction, pathology, and procurement
- Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Strong communication and client-facing abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
