Our client, a prominent consultancy in the building surveying sector, is currently seeking a Senior / Associate Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team in London. This permanent role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across various sectors including office fit-outs, industrial, life sciences, transport, and logistics.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting detailed building surveys and preparing comprehensive reports
  • Offering expert advice on property refurbishment and office fit-outs
  • Managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Conducting defect diagnosis and proposing remedial solutions
  • Carrying out feasibility studies and advising on the procurement process
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards
  • Mentoring and supporting junior surveyors as needed


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in building surveying, with a focus on commercial property
  • Chartered status through RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
  • Strong understanding of building construction, pathology, and procurement
  • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification
