As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will have knowledge and experience in pre and post-contract management and procurement within the UK rail sector. The senior quantity surveyor will be expected to utilise their major project experience and knowledge to drive efficiencies and effective supply chain engagement.

You will be working on prestigious nationwide rail projects helping the business support their clients to achieve sustainability for future generations.

  • Profile - qualifications and must-haves for candidates:
  • Educated to degree level and member of a professional body
  • Main contractor and/or joint venture experience
  • Site presence and co-location minimum 3 days a week
  • An experienced user of the NEC3-4 suite of contracts (A-C-E must have)
  • Experienced in leading the full suite of cost and contract management activities
  • Ability to lead on project financial monitoring and reporting
  • Experienced in proactive project change and risk management
  • Experienced in negotiating and procuring sub-contract packages (Design-Delivery-Commission), testing the robustness of costs and value for money.
  • Experience of working within a collaborative culture or/ and a mature approach to relationship management with a long-term strategic focus
  • Able to prioritise the delivery of the objectives of their role
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to performance manage and hold to account
  • Experience in managing and developing assistant and intermediate-level commercial team members
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
