We are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator for a well-respected, luxury rug and carpet design business in London. The role will manage the day to day operations of logistics, shipping and sales order processing.This is a fast paced role in a busy and friendly small team and will also involve the following:Facilitate all rug / carpet shipping processes within the UK and internationally, liaising with shipping agent for air freight and sea freightWork with delivery providers to ensure all deliveries meet customer needsMonitor rug / carpet orders throughout their lifecycleResponsible for input of sales orders onto company database, making sure all details are correctPlace client orders with millsFrequent communication with mills to ensure they are on track with sales orders, resolving order delaysBuilding and maintaining good relationships with both external and internal stakeholdersWork within the operations team and suggest potential improvements to help efficiency of the operations teamWork collaboratively with the sales team to keep them abreast of order informationMaintain relationships with the warehousing partners, fitting teams, mills and shipping partnersTaking appropriate action to maximise customer service in line with business targetsStock rug managementGeneral showroom/office duties, including helping the team with rug flipping in the showroom, unpacking/packing of ordersThe company is looking for someone who has worked in a similar role preferably in the interior furnishings industry although this is not essential. The role is offered on a 5 day per week basis, Monday to Friday, working hours 9am - 5.30pm. The company is rapidly growing so there is lots of potential for this role to expand and to take on new responsibilities.
