The role: Head Receptionist/SupervisorLocation: The City Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 - 4:30 / 8:30 - 5:30Salary: £32,000 plus 25 days holiday The ideal candidate for this role is a confident leader with strong organizational skills, a commitment to customer service, and the ability to manage the reception team while maintaining a professional and efficient work environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Visitor Management: Welcome visitors professionally and ensure proper sign-in.Access Control: Issue visitor passes according to client policies.Communication: Notify building users about visitor arrivals, deliveries, and couriers.Scheduling: Review meeting schedules and visitor logs for the next day using Condecco.Emergency Support: Assist during emergencies, including contacting emergency services if required.Reception Area Maintenance: Ensure the reception area remains presentable throughout the day.Compliance: Follow company systems and policies for all activities.Evacuation Support: Fulfil a key role during emergency evacuations, if needed.Reporting: Provide feedback, report internally and externally, and handle communication effectively.Team Leadership: Ensure the receptionist team functions effectively, meeting all expectations.Visitor Escorting: Escort visitors to the hospitality suite as needed.Operational Efficiency: Ensure smooth operations of reception with adequate coverage and escalate issues to the building manager when applicable.Essential requirements:Confident, assertive, and able to lead a team effectively.Skilled in using Word, Excel, and Outlook, PowerPoint and Access knowledge.Ability to maintain a high standard of customer service.Strong ability to organize tasks and manage time effectively.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.GCSE passes in Maths and English or equivalent.Higher education qualifications (A-levels, HNC/D, degree, or equivalent).3 years of experience in customer service with leadership responsibilities.
