The City & Capital team are currently representing a highly respected & fast-growing Bridging and Buy-to-Let property finance lender who have retained our services to appoint a friendly and client focused Receptionist to the team at an exciting time.

Our client is extremely well-funded, with increased investment driving a new round of growth, set to take the business to the next level. Due to this, they are keen to strengthen their front of house team with the appointment of a Receptionist who will lead and deliver a variety of high-impact functions within the business.

Role Purpose:

As a Receptionist, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment for visitors and aiding with the smooth operation of our office. You will be responsible for handling calls, managing the reception area, and providing administrative support to ensure that the office runs efficiently. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a professional manner, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

Front Desk Operations:

• Greet clients, visitors, and employees in a friendly and professional manner, determining the purpose of their visit.

• Direct clients to the appropriate financial advisors, departments, or meeting rooms.

• Answer and screen phone calls, route them to the appropriate team members, or take detailed messages.

• Manage the reception area, ensuring it is always presentable and welcoming for visitors.

Administrative Support:

• Provide general office administrative support such as filing, managing calendars, and scheduling meetings for the team.

• Handle office correspondence, including emails, letters, and post, ensuring timely and accurate distribution.

• Assist with managing office supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained.

Customer Service:

• Provide information to visitors, clients, and callers regarding the company's services, policies, and general inquiries.

• Handle client requests, concerns, or queries with a professional and courteous approach.

• Ensure a high level of service by maintaining a positive and helpful attitude at all times.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other departments to support the smooth running of the office, including coordinating meetings, managing visitor logs, and assisting with client meetings when needed.

• Ensure all communication and correspondence is delivered accurately and in a timely manner.

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate visitor logs, managing any required security access or visitor badges.

• Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, document preparation, and maintaining office filing systems.

Role Requirements:

• Proven experience as a receptionist, office assistant, or in a customer-facing role, ideally within a corporate or financial services environment.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional phone manner.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Professional appearance and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, especially when dealing with financial matters and sensitive client information.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in a financial services or professional services environment.

• Familiarity with office phone systems, scheduling software, and client management tools.

• Knowledge of UK office procedures
