We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving the company’s growth. You will identify new business opportunities, engage with potential clients, and introduce them to our company & services. This new role will work both independently and collaboratively with other managers to expand our clients’ client base and strengthen relationships with existing clients.

This is a remote role although travel to meetings & events nationwide will be required.   

About the role
Having been operating in the Legal and Education sectors for over 10 years, this company have a well-established presence and reputation in both markets.  This role represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to build and execute a sales & marketing strategy from scratch.

As Business Development Manager you will:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s services, market trends, the competition in the industry and positioning
  • Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new services
  • Create strategies to successfully create new business opportunities & achieve targets
  • Proactively identify and qualify leads through research, networking, and outreach
  • Build relationships with new clients and develop relationships with current clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to address these needs
  • Collaborate with marketing and management teams to ensure that requirements are met
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities in CRM, tracking pipeline development and conversion rates
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to improve sales strategies

 

About the rewards
In the role of Business Development Manager the hours of work are 9am to 5pm (no weekends or Bank Holidays) and there is on offer:

  • A salary of £30,000 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience
  • Up to £5,000 per annum performance related bonus on successful achievement of agreed objectives
  • 23 days paid holiday, plus all bank holidays

Desired skills & competencies:

  • Previous account management and new business development experience, including generating/attending meetings, presenting and networking
  • Able to research, develop and implement strategic plans across the company
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build rapport at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of marketing services desired, but not essential
  • Experience of managing budgets including driving sales, forecasting and managing margins
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, sales engagement tools, and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities in a remote environment
