The Role

The Chief Product Officer (CPO) will be responsible for defining the product vision and strategy, working closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape the future direction of the company’s SaaS platform. This individual will play a key role in product innovation and execution, driving the end-to-end product lifecycle and ensuring the platform delivers significant value to customers. The CPO will also be instrumental in scaling the product team and fostering a culture of innovation and customer focus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company’s long-term goals.
    • Lead the creation of a product roadmap that reflects market needs, business objectives, and technological opportunities.
  • Leadership & Team Building:
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing product team to support the company’s growth trajectory.
    • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and data-driven culture within the product organization.
  • Customer-Centric Product Development:
    • Drive a customer-first product development approach, ensuring that user needs and feedback are at the heart of all decisions.
    • Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to identify and prioritize customer needs.
  • Collaboration & Execution:
    • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other technical teams to drive product development from concept to launch.
    • Ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality, scalable products within deadlines.
  • Market Insight & Innovation:
    • Stay ahead of industry trends, market demands, and competitor offerings to drive continuous product innovation.
    • Ensure the company’s products maintain a competitive edge within the InsurTech landscape.
  • Data-Driven Product Decisions:
    • Use data analytics and market research to make informed product decisions.
    • Set and monitor product KPIs to measure success, making adjustments as needed to optimize performance.
  • Go-to-Market & Commercial Strategy:
    • Partner with the sales and marketing teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches.
    • Assist in developing product messaging, positioning, and pricing strategies to maximize revenue potential.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will be an experienced product leader with a proven track record of driving product success in a SaaS environment, preferably in the InsurTech or FinTech sector. They will be a strategic thinker who can operate at a high level while also being hands-on in a start-up environment.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of product management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role, ideally within a SaaS or InsurTech company.
    • Demonstrable success in scaling product teams and delivering high-growth, innovative SaaS products.

  • Strategic & Analytical Thinking:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business challenges into actionable product strategies.
    • Experience in using data-driven insights to guide product development and measure success.
  • Collaboration:
    • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and sales teams to deliver successful products.
