Were searching for a candidate with at least two years of experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, or as a Junior Sommelier in a high-calibre restaurant or wine-focused establishment. The ideal applicant is someone who lives and breathes hospitality, with a deep appreciation for wine and a knack for creating memorable guest experiences. Youll thrive in a dynamic environment, leading a small team with enthusiasm and delivering attentive, personable service that keeps guests coming back.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to ensure seamless daily operations, from service to stock management.
- Leverage your wine expertise to guide guests through our curated selection, offering recommendations and pairings.
- Oversee inventory, manage stock levels, and coordinate orders to keep our wine bar and shop perfectly stocked.
- Inspire and lead by example, motivating a small, dedicated team to deliver exceptional service and maintain our high standards.
- Communicate effectively with staff, suppliers, and guests, ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to excellence.
What You Bring to the Table
- Proven restaurant experience, ideally in a wine bar, restaurant or similar upscale setting.
- Strong wine knowledge, backed by a minimum WSET Level 2 qualification (higher levels are a bonus).
- Hands-on experience managing stock, placing orders, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
- A natural leader with the ability to train, support, and rally a team toward shared goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to connect with guests and collaborate with colleagues.
- A genuine passion for wine and warm hospitality
