A South London Charity based in the London Borough of Lambeth and Southwark is on search for a Events and Bar Manager to develop and operate the sports and community activities at their sports ground.

This is Charity was established in 2022 when they acquired a 30-year lease at the sports ground. They are looking for someone who is ready for a new challenge and willing to get involved the development of this venue as a community hub. This role is working approximately 3 days a week, this will include one day each weekend along with a couple of evenings with the remainder of the time spent working either from the venue of your home doing marketing, attending networking events and working with the General Manager to come up with innovative ideas to increase revenues.

You will be

  • Marketing and networking in the local communities to raise awareness and drive increased revenue through venue booking
  • Managing the stock levels in the bar and ensure it is running smoothly
  • Employing casual staff to work in the bar and on security
  • Building a team of casual workers you can rely on
  • Training staff
  • Overseeing the daily bar operations, inventory management and compliance with licensing regulations
  • Health and Safety
  • Exceptional customer service
