This role is for a Senior Director, Store Development in the retail industry, based in London. The position requires expertise in overall management of construction, real estate, store design & facilities for all existing and new store build outs in EMEA.

Description

  • Responsible for overall management of construction, real estate, store design & facilities for all existing and new store build outs in EMEA
  • Problem solve based on realities of each specific project and location to ensure that stores are opening in the best locations, on time, on budget, and with a high level of brand enhancement and experience
  • Work closely with both in-house team and external vendors & Contractors to ensure that all processes from start to finish are consistent with the Company ethos
  • Stakeholder management of Franchise partners to ensure global consistency across store design
  • Leading and developing the store expansion strategy and implementation for EMEA from the expansion of new stores to remodeling of the existing store network across owned and franchise channels
  • Partnering with Retail leadership on the real estate strategy and getting cross functional alignment and approval throughout the organisation.
  • Design & build the most efficient and profitable stores.
  • Monitor and report on variances in store development budget costs and store forecasts relative to strategic plans for the business unit.
  • Negotiate all cost pricing with vendors for cost controls involved in store build outs.
  • Act as a mentor and provide leadership training and guidance to design, construction, and real estate team members.
  • Partner with Global teams to ensure brand consistency across the region.
  • Keep store projects on time and on budget.
  • Drive the planning and roadmap of stores for the AOP processes as well as the annual CapEx forecasts.
  • Liaise with International market counterparts in NA, China and APAC to accelerate learnings in region

Profile

A successful 'Senior Director, Store Development' should have:

  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in store development
  • Experience in retail construction is a must
  • A Passion for design, building and Real estate
  • Must be versatile and able to manage multiple projects
  • Be able to deal with contractors and subcontractors
  • Has the ability to communicate complex issues in laymen's terms
  • Adept in cost-control management
