Join a rapidly growing MGA fully regulated by the FCA as a Finance Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to assist the Finance Manager and contribute to the day-to-day finance operations of our dynamic company. We are seeking a proactive self-starter who is ready to handle a diverse workload and engage in all aspects of the finance function.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Complete all finance tasks within allocated time slots, adhering to the finance timetable.
  • Post bank transactions and update related policies as paid on individual underwriting portals using systems like Schemeserve and PIA.
  • Manage the finance inbox and handle queries efficiently.
  • Perform daily submissions and reconciliations on Novus, including bank reconciliations and matching funds.
  • Process and upload CSV files for relevant product lines.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth operation of the finance function.
  • Generate and update financial reports, including the Gross Written Premium (GWP) Summary and Unmatched Cash Summary reports.
  • Assist with year-end and interim audits and any other finance-related tasks as necessary.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in Bank and Cashiering, ideally within an MGA environment.
  • Knowledge of technical IBA Accounting and Credit Control.
  • Understanding of accounting double entry.
  • Part Qualified with 1-3 years’ experience (ACCA/CIMA/ACA preferred).
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and general ledger operations.
  • Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Immediate availability highly desirable.
