VisionFR is helping to recruit for an exciting role as a Finance Assistant in a rapidly growing creative events studio international clients in music and fashion.

Finance Assistant Responsibilities Include:

  • First point of contact for basic finance queries, owning and overseeing our accounts inbox
  • Assist with customer and supplier queries such as copy invoices, payment due dates and any statements
  • Process supplier and freelancer invoices - review invoices for accuracy and VAT, check for a valid PO on Procim
  • Spot unusual or inconsistent charges or invoices and raise these for review with the HoF
  • Prep draft weekly payment files to stay on time with payments to suppliers
  • Manage company credit cards/expense claims on a day to day basis checking spend and chasing for missing receipts
  • Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
  • Marking off customer invoices as paid and support in chasing late payments
  • Assist with the month end accounting, including prepayments, fixed assets, bank reconciliations and other month end tasks
  • Support HoF on ad hoc finance projects as requested

Finance Assistant Key Attributes Required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and environment
  • Adaptable - able to work in a changing fast paced environment.
  • Financial - you have a head for numbers and you know your way around an invoice and basic accounting entries
  • Good attention to detail and accurate - spot errors and mistakes
  • People Person - you enjoy interacting with all types, confidently emailing, calling and messaging members of the team as well as communicating with suppliers
  • Responsible - company can delegate tasks to you with the confidence that you’ll get stuff done
  • Excel- you’re confident manipulating data and using basic excel formulae
  • Honest and reliable - you understand how to work with sensitive information and can be trusted to get your tasks completed without constant oversight
  • Excellent organisational skills help you to juggle tasks and assess priorities
  • Intelligent - quick to understand, quick to process and not afraid to ask when you don’t know
  • Friendly and approachable - missed when you’re not around
