Science Technician Responsibilities:

  • The ideal candidate for this position should have the capability to support practical lessons across all three sciences.
  • Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science experiments.
  • Support teachers during practical lessons by ensuring all resources are ready and available.
  • Maintain and organize the science laboratories, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
  • Assist in the safe disposal of chemical and biological waste.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of science equipment and resources.
  • Support students during practical activities, providing guidance and ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Science Technician Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school setting is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students.
  • A passion for science and education.
  • Relevant qualifications in science or a related field.
