As a Science Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring that practical science lessons run smoothly and safely. Your enthusiasm for science and commitment to providing high-quality support will be essential in helping students achieve their full potential.
Science Technician Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate for this position should have the capability to support practical lessons across all three sciences.
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science experiments.
- Support teachers during practical lessons by ensuring all resources are ready and available.
- Maintain and organize the science laboratories, ensuring they are clean and well-stocked.
- Assist in the safe disposal of chemical and biological waste.
- Manage and maintain an inventory of science equipment and resources.
- Support students during practical activities, providing guidance and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Science Technician Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Science Technician in a school setting is a must.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and students.
- A passion for science and education.
- Relevant qualifications in science or a related field.
