Dunbar Education is working with a highly-rated Secondary school located in Havering in East London. This school are looking to recruit a permanent, full-time Cover Supervisor to join their team from September 2025. This is a welcoming secondary school that is rated 'Good' by Ofsted.

The successful candidate will provide supervision for classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged. You will work with students in KS3 and KS4, helping maintain a positive learning environment and supporting the delivery of lesson plans as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes of students in the absence of the class teacher.

  • Ensure that students follow the instructions set by the teacher.

  • Manage student behaviour and maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.

  • Support students with tasks and encourage engagement with learning activities.

  • Report any issues or concerns to the appropriate staff members.

About You:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A positive attitude and the ability to engage students.

  • Experience working with young people in a school setting (desirable but not essential).

  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
