About the role
We are working with the school to recruit a teacher who can commit to the position for the entirety of the academic year (and beyond!), teaching both KS4 and KS5. This is a long-term position starting in April 2025.
The school is focused on providing the highest quality of education, and all staff members are expected to strive for excellence in everything they do. The students consistently attain high standards, and their behavior in lessons and around the school is good.
About you
- QTS with a DT specialism (RM, Textile, Food, Graphics)
- Experience teaching DT KS3 and KS4 in a secondary school
- Proven background of high pupil progress
- A real desire to make a positive difference to the pupils you work with

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behaviour.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and methodologies.
- Maintain classroom discipline while promoting respect and inclusivity among students
