Key Responsibilities:-
Oversee the daily running of the science prep room, including the management of equipment and materials across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

Lead and support a team of science technicians, ensuring smooth delivery of practical science lessons.

Prepare and set up equipment for practical experiments in line with the curriculum.

Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times, maintaining a safe working environment.

Liaise with teaching staff to support the development and delivery of engaging science lessons.

Manage stock levels, ordering supplies as necessary, and keeping accurate inventories.

Maintain and service equipment, reporting and arranging for repairs where required.

Previous experience as a Senior or Lead Science Technician in a school environment is essential.

Strong understanding of health & safety protocols in a laboratory setting.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Confident in supporting a busy science department across all disciplines.

A valid, enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service is essential.
