LTF Recruitment are looking for a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant. This is to work in an independent school for pupils aged 5-16 with SEN needs (Special Educational Needs). The candidate would ideally have experience working as a higher-level teaching assistant or a similar role. Fundamental knowledge of special educational needs is crucial.

As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, ensuring they thrive both academically and socially.

  • Have high expectations of children and young people with a commitment to helping them fulfil their potential.
  • Contribute to the selection and preparation of classroom materials.
  • Provide tailored 1-2-1 and small group support for pupils.
  • You must have a commitment to safeguarding children.
  • Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and independence.
  • Communicate effectively and sensitively with children, young people, colleagues, parents and carers.
