A fantastic primary school in Greenwich is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support in a Reception class. This Higher Level Teaching Assistant role will involve leading the class during PPA cover and working with small groups to support early learning and development.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons in Reception while the teacher is on PPA cover.
- Work with small groups to provide targeted support in phonics, literacy, and numeracy.
- Assist in planning and delivering EYFS-focused activities.
- Support the early development of pupils by promoting confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure high-quality learning experiences.
Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Ideal Candidate:
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or extensive experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in Reception/EYFS is essential.
- Confident in delivering lessons and leading a classroom.
- Strong understanding of phonics and early years development.
- Ability to hit the ground running and adapt to a busy school environment.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply via Reeson Education.
