Head of Youth Justice Service - Previous experience essential - Excellent rates of pay
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic interim Head of Youth Justice Service to lead and drive best practice in the strategic development of a "child first" approach within youth justice. In this vital role, you will translate strategic objectives into effective operational delivery, ensuring high standards of service for children and their families while preparing for the new inspection regime.
You will provide leadership to multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded and fostering a culture of excellence. As a visible and active leader within our co-located children's services, you will work closely with political leaders, senior management, and stakeholders to develop and deliver on key objectives.
Applicants must be registered with Social Work England or hold an equivalent professional qualification, with substantial knowledge of the legal and statutory framework governing youth justice services. A strong understanding of recent research and best practices in youth justice and social care is essential, along with skills in resource management, strategic planning, and modern IT applications to improve service delivery.
This role offers excellent rates of pay and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives. If you have successful management experience within a statutory youth justice setting and a commitment to anti-discriminatory and anti-racist practice, we encourage you to apply.
