About the Role:

As a Clinical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and governance within our care home. Working closely with our nurses and carers, your primary responsibility is to ensure that the nursing and clinical care provided to our residents meets their needs. In collaboration with the management team, you will ensure excellence in care delivery, lead clinical decision-making, and foster a positive and supportive environment for both staff and residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the nursing and care teams in delivering high-quality clinical care.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulations, including CQC requirements.
  • Conduct audits, oversee safeguarding practices, and manage Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS).
  • Provide clinical expertise and support to staff, mentoring and training nurses and carers.
  • Work collaboratively with the management team to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Make informed clinical decisions and provide guidance in high-pressure situations.
  • Encourage and support positive working relationships within the care team.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to lead and manage nursing teams effectively.
  • Prior experience in a leadership or management role within a clinical setting.
  • Confidence in making clinical decisions and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Passion for promoting best nursing practices and supporting the professional development of others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and effective interaction with the team, residents, and families.
  • Strong understanding of audits, safeguarding, DOLS, CQC, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to foster positive team dynamics and encourage collaborative working relationships.

Education and Qualifications:

  • NMC Registered Nurse with relevant post-registration clinical experience.
  • Experience in a clinical leadership role is desirable.
