Package: £30,000 - £35,000 + overtime, company van, laptop, mobile, 22 days holiday

The Company

We are a leading international coffee roaster and hot beverage solution provider, serving the HoReCa, Workplace, Healthcare, and Leisure sectors within the foodservice industry. Established in the 1930s, we have grown into a business with an annual turnover exceeding £11 million. As the Field Service Coffee Engineer, you will represent our company on the front line, interacting with customers and ensuring our coffee machines continue to operate at optimal performance.

The Role

As a Field Service Coffee Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

- Installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial coffee machines, including Traditional Espresso, Bean to Cup, and Instant machines.

- Diagnosing faults and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure equipment is up and running efficiently.

- Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance to minimise breakdowns and optimise machine performance.

- Responding to emergency breakdowns and offering timely repairs to meet client needs.

- Managing parts inventory in your company van, ensuring you have the required stock to complete repairs on time.

- Documenting service visits, repairs, and machine status, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and up to date.

- Working on a rotational weekend schedule (1 in 4 weekends), with overtime available.

The Person

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in the coffee industry with knowledge of coffee machine maintenance and repairs, though candidates from similar sectors (vending machines, domestic appliances, capital equipment) will be considered.

- Strong technical skills in handling coffee equipment such as Traditional Espresso, Bean to Cup, and Instant coffee machines.

- Problem-solving abilities to diagnose and repair machine malfunctions quickly and effectively.

- Excellent customer service skills, capable of building strong relationships with clients while representing the brand professionally.

- IT literacy, comfortable using cloud-based service management systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

- Experience with electrical systems and basic plumbing, relevant to coffee machine servicing.

- Attention to detail in managing service documentation and ensuring compliance with maintenance schedules.
