We are looking for an Assistant Housing Gateway Officer to join our team in South London.



About the Role

As an Assistant Housing Gateway Officer, you will be the first point of contact for individuals facing homelessness or housing difficulties. You will provide advice, support, and practical solutions, ensuring individuals receive the help they need.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct face-to-face homeless assessments and process referrals
Provide housing advice, assistance, and support to prevent homelessness
Maintain Personalised Housing Plans and update records accurately
Support vulnerable individuals in accessing housing solutions
Assist customers with online housing applications and bidding systems
Deliver a professional and empathetic customer service experience



Job Details 36 hours per week Training: 5 days in-office, then hybrid once comfortable DBS: Basic DBS check required


What We are Looking for:

Strong customer service skills - housing experience is not essential
Good IT skills and ability to manage online systems
Ability to communicate effectively and handle sensitive situations
A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting individuals
