Behavior Support Worker

Location: South East London
Salary: £95 - £130 per day

GSL Education are looking for dedicated Behavior Support Workers to join our client secondary schools in South East London. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting students and helping them overcome behavioral challenges to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities of a Behavior Support Worker:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students as a Behavior Support Worker.
  • Implement behavior management strategies to help students stay on task and engaged.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and behavior.
  • Assist in developing and implementing individualized behavior plans.
  • Support students in developing social skills and coping mechanisms.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Requirements of a Behavior Support Worker::

  • Previous experience as a Behavior Support Worker or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of behavior management techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
