About the Role:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Assessment Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with families to assess their needs and provide support, helping to create positive outcomes for children and families. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, reporting on findings, and offering advice and recommendations to support families during critical periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of family dynamics, child development, and the home environment.
  • Provide support and guidance to families to ensure the best outcomes for children.
  • Create detailed reports based on assessments and present them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with social services, schools, and other agencies to support family plans.
  • Develop and implement action plans, ensuring regular follow-ups to monitor progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or working within a social care setting (desirable).
  • Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families.
  • Ability to assess situations effectively and provide clear recommendations.
