Floating Support Worker Salary to £30000 based in North London

The Floating Support Worker will be working between 10 premises, supporting the occupant’s mainstream council/social housing tenants with day to day matters such as benefits, tenancy sustainment and preparing to move on.

The aim of the service is to provide quick and responsive interventions that prevent tenancy breakdown, improves quality of life and promotes independence.

Experience: Floating Support Worker

  • Working knowledge of being able to support clients into supported accommodation and/or other floating support services, with a demonstrable understanding of Housing and other related legislation.Experience of supporting clients to carry out tasks such as budgeting, calculating benefit entitlements
  • Able to motivate people to move towards an appropriate level of independence
  • Experience of working with vulnerable people presenting significant levels of need
  • Ability to devise and deliver on action plans through high quality risk management and needs assessment and understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Also able to liaise with a range of service providers to establish or improve services.
  • Have good time management skills to effectively, prioritise tasks and produce work of a good standard
