GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to join a Secondary School & Sixth Form in Hackney. This long-term, full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire students, setting them up for success in their academic and professional journeys.

Responsibilities of the Health & Social Care Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging lessons in BTEC National Health and Social Care (Level 3) and A-Level Psychology (AQA).
  • Potentially teach BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care (Level 1/2) and GCSE Psychology.
  • Plan, assess, and evaluate student progress to ensure academic excellence.
  • Support and challenge students to reach their full potential in a positive and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enrich the curriculum and teaching strategies.

Requirements of the Health & Social Care Teacher:

  • QTS is a must for this role
  • Proven experience teaching BTEC National Health and Social Care (Level 3) and A-Level Psychology (AQA).
  • The ability to teach the BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care (Level 1/2) and GCSE Psychology is desirable.
  • This role is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
  • Strong subject knowledge, classroom management skills, and a passion for student development.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
