Job Title: Lead Drug & Alcohol Outreach WorkerLocation: Lambeth (across multiple sites)Salary: £18.76 per hour + holiday pay (£21.02 per hour), or £24.00 via umbrella companyHours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PMAssignment: 6 weeks with potential extensionTravel Expenses: CoveredAbout the RoleWe are working with a sector-leading London-based charity, dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals affected by substance misuse and homelessness. The charity's Integrated Health Network (IHN) is a multidisciplinary team focused on offering health support to individuals with substance misuse issues, particularly those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. The charity is looking for a compassionate Lead Drug & Alcohol Outreach Worker to join their team and play a key role in supporting service users through their recovery journey.Key Responsibilities
- Provide intensive, flexible support to individuals with drug and alcohol support needs, assisting them in transitioning from addiction to stabilisation and recovery
- Deliver support across Lambeth, including hostels, day centres, and street-based interventions, advocating for service users and providing short-term assistance
- Accompany service users to appointments and ensure they have access to relevant drug and alcohol services
- Coordinate and lead harm minimisation clinics within hostels, helping to ensure the health and safety of individuals in recovery
- Deliver training and share insights with colleagues, supporting a collaborative team environment
- Build strong relationships with external partners, such as drug and alcohol services, detox centres, rehab facilities, and recovery-based hubs
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all tasks are completed within set timeframes
