Learning Support Assistant in Clapham, South London

Career Teachers are looking for an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant/SEN Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding primary school in Clapham, South London. This full-time role begins ASAP. We are looking for someone with prior experience working with SEND children including ASD, ADHD, behavioural difficulties, and more.

Role Overview:
As a Learning Support Assistant/SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support children in achieving their full potential. This includes working individually or in small groups with students who have additional learning needs such as ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

Qualifications and Experience:
We are seeking candidates with prior experience in childcare or educational settings, such as babysitting, tutoring, coaching, summer camps, or previous teaching assistant roles. For this specific role, it is essential to have demonstrable experience working with SEND children. Candidates must have:
  • A valid and up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service,
  • Legal Right to Work in the UK,
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong passion for education.
